Ethan, an orphan-turned-shadow assassin, was kept by Lorenzo, the heir to a criminal empire, for five years—handling dirty work by day and enduring Lorenzo’s possession by night. He took the fall three times for Marco, Lorenzo’s beloved younger brother and Ethan’s own flesh-and-blood sibling, until he finally suffered unspeakable humiliation in prison and his heart grew completely cold. By the time Lorenzo, clutching his “ashes,” was overcome with remorse, Ethan had already risen from the ashes as an AI prodigy under the protection of the mafia don—Lorenzo’s uncle, Fabrizio. This time, he would be no one’s shadow!
