Five years ago, Serena, president of the Cayzer Group, was attacked and left with amnesia. Her husband, Lucian, falsely claimed to be her savior and forged medical records stating she was infertile. He then planned to adopt his cousin Celeste's son, Ezra, as Serena's heir in order to seize control of the company. Serena accidentally uncovers their affair and the entire deception, and resolves to fight back. The truth is that it was Kael, heir to the Retigga family, who originally rescued Serena. After suffering severe injuries and falling into a coma for a year, he woke up to find Serena already married. Choosing to remain anonymous, he became her personal assistant, quietly protecting her from afar. When the truth comes out, Kael reveals his family’s power and helps Serena overcome a boardroom coup attempt. Serena’s ex-husband Lucian colludes with Noah from the Nortone family to undermine the Cayzer Group, but fails and is subsequently eliminated. Meanwhile, the cunning young boy Ezra, driven by ambition, attempts to harm the unborn child in Serena’s womb after learning of her pregnancy—only for his plot to be exposed. It later emerges that Ezra’s biological father is Edwin, a deranged member of the European old-money Lenardo family. Edwin has long harbored obsessive fixation toward Serena, abducting her at one point. Ezra hopes to use Edwin’s influence to make Serena his mother. Kael teams up with Wolff, the leader of the Lenardo family, to storm the ancient castle and rescue Serena. Edwin is dealt with by his own family, while Ezra undergoes psychological intervention. Celeste, who had escaped earlier, goes on a violent rampage at her engagement ceremony but is subdued. After enduring countless trials, Serena earns the recognition of Kael’s family. They marry, welcome twin children—a boy and a girl—and achieve harmony in both career and family life.
