ic, a stablehand at the Magic Academy, was once written off as a worthless outcast with no fire seed. A single drop of his blood awakened a scepter and claimed Rift-Dawn, a battleaxe that had rejected all masters for five hundred years. During the Magic Knight Trial, he blazed nine sacred halos. His true origin was uncovered: he was the stolen only son of Duke Cedric, missing for twenty-two years, bearing the blood of the True Dragon. Grand Commander Ralph, fearing Eric would seize power, repeatedly sent assassins after him. The Archduchess Liola of the Northern Marches arrived with a betrothal pact to back him, and the two forged a bond. In the end, Eric slew Ralph and rescued his father to restore his rightful house.
