After seven years of dating, Lily’s celebrity boyfriend Luke cheats on her with her best friend Mia. When Lily suffers a concussion in an accident, she turns the tables and pretends to have amnesia. To cover up his affair, Luke lies and claims that his best friend—Preston, the heir to a top financial conglomerate—is actually Lily’s boyfriend. Unbeknownst to him, Preston had secretly harbored a crush on Lily for years and seized this opportunity to turn the “act” into reality. Not only did he shower her with unwavering affection, but he also threw his full support behind her as she pursued her dream of becoming a Hollywood screenwriter. As Lily and Preston’s relationship rapidly deepened, a remorseful Luke frantically tried to win her back, only to be coldly cut off by Lily, who exposed the truth behind her revenge—that she “never lost her memory” in the first place. In the end, the manipulative best friend was left with nothing; the scumbag Luke, after falling from a building, descended into insanity and lost his beloved forever amid delusions of a false “rebirth”; while the level-headed and independent heroine, Lily, found her happy ending with the devoted and loyal Preston.
