Eleanor, matriarch of the Ashford family, crashes into a valley late at night—and wakes up inside the body of Mia, an eighteen-year-old underground fighter. The one who saves her is none other than Isadora, head of the rival Stirling family and Eleanor's sworn enemy of twenty years. Posing as Isadora's personal bodyguard, Eleanor investigates her own crash and gathers evidence against her nemesis—only to keep catching Isadora secretly looking into the accident and sitting alone in her office all night staring at Eleanor's photo. Dodging danger side by side, keeping each other company late into the night, Eleanor finally sees this woman up close for the first time—and realizes her enemy of twenty years has been secretly in love with her all along.
