The Moon Goddess watched Amelia’s mother and sister die and did nothing. From that day, Amelia stopped believing in gods. Clutching her mother’s silver-blood pendant, she swears a blood oath: as a mortal, she will kill the gods. She becomes the only vessel able to hold the Moon Goddess’s remnant soul and deliberately lures Damian, Lord of the Abyss, into capturing her. Trapped in his obsidian temple, she uses tenderness and companionship to make the lonely tyrant fall utterly in love with her—until he abandons his thousand-year obsession and seals his own divine power. Then she coaxes him into the mortal wasteland where gods can die. There, he becomes an ordinary man with no memory, while she keeps her mind and her vengeance—and tears out his Titan heart with her own hands. This blade is revenge. It is also a mortal’s declaration of war against the gods.
