To repay a past rescue favor, Maren Crawford, a wealthy heir and hidden business tycoon, hides her identity and devotes three years to supporting her lover Dustin into a successful rancher. On the day she plans to transfer her maternal inheritance to him, she discovers their marriage certificate is fake. Dustin has long been legally married to Gwen, who has stayed by their side pretending to be a friend. Worse still, the conditioning pills Dustin forces her to take have ruined her fertility. Shattered by the thirteen-year deception, Maren abandons her softness. She gathers solid evidence, allies with Dustin’s rival, and exposes his fraud, intentional harm and betrayal at their anniversary dinner. Finally, the vicious pair get punished by law, while Maren reclaims her assets, takes over her family business and embraces a brand-new life.
