The noble lady Celia is born with a powerful gift for empathizing with animals—yet she is framed and imprisoned by her womanizing husband Johnny and his new mistress Mary, subjected to inhuman torment intended to drive her to her death. Barely escaping, Celia stumbles into a blood pact with Logan, the Wolf King, and becomes the governess of his rebellious white wolf cub, Jack. Faced with a mischievous, human-hating little wolf darling, Celia tames him in an instant with her innate warmth and gentleness—teaching Jack human manners and arithmetic, and deeply moving the cold, domineering White Wolf King in the process. But when Celia returns to the human town with little Jack, she runs straight into the ex-husband and mistress who once brought her endless nightmares. A strike of fate begins to unfold, fiercely rising under the wolf clan's protection.
