New York Mafia godmother Katerina has spent six years living under a concealed identity on a farm, caring for her frail youngest daughter, Bianca. With her eldest son Kyle about to get engaged, she decides to bring Bianca home to rejoin the family. On their way back to the city, an arrogant woman deliberately crashes into their car, demands an exorbitant amount of compensation, and prevents Bianca from receiving medical care during an asthma attack. Katerina soon discovers that the woman is Ravenna, the fiancée Kyle has described as "innocent and kind." Desperate to win the godmother's approval, Ravenna refuses to believe that the farm woman she looks down on is her future mother-in-law. How will Katerina protect her daughter—and can she make her son see his fiancée's true colors?
