Peppa once fell in love with Luca, the godfather of the New York Mafia. However, since he refused to marry her and did not want children, she concealed her pregnancy and left without a word. Four years later, she is raising her son Milo on her own. To help her friend Owen, she pretends to be his fiancée and attends an engagement party, where she reunites with Luca. After Luca discovers Milo’s true identity, he overcomes his fear of family life, takes on his responsibilities as a father, and pursues Peppa relentlessly. Bianca keeps threatening Peppa and her son in order to win Luca over, and Victor even plots their abduction. Torn between protecting her son and learning to trust love again, Peppa finally sees Luca prove himself through his actions, and the family of three reunites.
