Little Lily is ignored by her wolf parents, who devote everything to her sick older sister. When Lily says another father and mother live inside the moon-silver mirror, her real parents call her a liar and lock her away. But the mirror family is real. They feed her, comfort her, and offer the love she never received at home. After one final betrayal, Lily chooses the mirror and disappears. Her birth parents spend years drowning in regret, only to learn the “monsters” were future wolf parents searching for abandoned pups. By the time they understand, Lily has found a real home.
