Mara is humiliated at her wedding when her fiancé Nico puts her ring on her half-sister Bianca’s finger and leaves the country with her. Refusing to wait five years, Mara marries Vincent Moretti, New York’s most feared mafia don and Nico’s adoptive father. When Nico finally returns, he expects Mara to become his wife while Bianca remains his lover. Instead, he finds Mara raising their daughter with Vincent and protected by the Moretti family. The woman he discarded is now his father’s wife, the mother of his little sister, and someone he can no longer afford to offend.
