Chloe, humiliated when her fiancé's twin brother shoved her into a swimming pool, finally gave up on him completely — and instead chose to marry his uncle, Viktor, head of the Thornes (Thorne) family. Ending her hidden-identity trial, she made a high-profile return as Ares' chief weapons manufacturer and godmother, and at the wedding made the twins kneel and call her "aunt." After the marriage, Viktor unconditionally supported his wife's revenge — freezing his nephews' assets and taking over the military production line. Tricked into believing that the scheming Lexi had taken a bullet meant for them, the twins repeatedly provoked Chloe, only to be subdued by her force and hit with business sanctions. A car accident revealed an old scar on Chloe's shoulder; as the truth began to shake them, Lexi kidnapped Chloe in an attempt to silence her — only to be subdued by the couple working together. Her maternal grandfather then appeared to claim her, exposing Chloe's true heiress identity and the truth about who saved them all those years ago. The twins' faith crumbled, and they were crippled and cast out. In the end, Chloe announced her pregnancy at a banquet; the twins, consumed by regret, were completely disowned. Chloe and Viktor welcomed a new life and a new family order.
