42-year-old Elara, to care for her injured father Garret, has suppressed her racing talent for twenty years, supporting herself as a mail carrier and through part-time jobs. On her birthday night, she unexpectedly becomes entangled with 31-year-old mob boss and champion cyclist Asterion. A financial dispute arises, but their repeated encounters lead to a gradual development of feelings. Elara becomes pregnant with triplets and, burdened by concerns, initially intends to raise them alone. Asterion insists on taking responsibility, and the two sign a secret marriage agreement: they will live together during her pregnancy, and Elara can work; if she wants to leave after the children are born, Asterion must let her go. Their contractual marriage slowly blossoms into love amidst the tension of living together. Elara becomes an assistant instructor at a West Coast cycling academy, rediscovering her talent and overcoming skepticism to become a professional cycling coach and program consultant. Asterion repeatedly protects her, but never takes away her achievements. Cecilia, a heiress, and Dorian, an old acquaintance of Elara, interfere in their relationship. Elara, to avoid worrying her father, hides her marriage and suffers misunderstandings until Asterion publicly acknowledges her as his wife and mother of triplets, breaking down age and class prejudices. As the Thornwood project progresses, Valen, the person in charge, discovers that Elara's mother, Evelyn, is from the Thornwood family, making Elara a hidden direct blood relative. Asterion discovers that Evelyn's racing accident years ago was not an accident, uncovering a case from over twenty years ago. The two break off their agreement, but Elara, deeply in love with Asterion, chooses to stay. The triplets are born safely, starting a new life.
