Emily Xiling married down to save her family's mining empire — trading herself to Kyle Morgan, the "useless" caretaker of a scrap mine the whole of Silver Ridge laughed at. For three years, Kyle silently stopped every collapse, guarded her mineral rights, and kept her company alive. Emily gave all the credit to her first love, Ethan — and, consumed by a misunderstanding, filed for divorce. After the divorce, Kyle walked away for good. And her empire began to fall apart. Then Emily saw it with her own eyes: Grant Energy — the very titan that had been squeezing her dry — bowing down to Kyle. The man she'd humiliated, discarded, and called worthless was the Dragon King: the mysterious guardian who commanded the dragon veins beneath the mountains and protected the very mines she'd claimed as her own. Now, with betrayal and conspiracy closing in and a crisis rising from the deep, Emily must learn what it truly means to grow. And Kyle must decide whether the woman who broke his heart deserves a second chance.
