For nearly two decades since adulthood, 38-year-old genius designer Selena has dreamed of the same silver-haired man—a fixation that has kept her from ever truly entering a relationship. On the night she is fired under the pretext of “rejuvenating the team,” she is forced to work late for a handover and accidentally enters the office of Victor, a vampire prince of the Valentine clan, who has been secretly drugged. Selena is stunned to find that Victor looks exactly like the man from her dreams. Although the drug briefly makes him lose control, he immediately releases her and steps aside from the door when she clearly refuses him, asking for her help. After confirming that his face is identical to her dream man, Selena chooses of her own will to stay, and they spend the night together. When she wakes, she flees in panic, leaving behind only a silver sketching pen. Victor spends years searching for her but never finds her. Six years later, 44-year-old Selena is raising her boy-girl twins, Ethan and Lia, alone. To support them and cover her gambling-addicted brother’s debts, she makes a living restoring old furniture. Ethan’s talent earns him exceptional admission to Valentine International Academy, bringing Selena and her children back onto the Valentine family’s radar. Butler Owen notices that Ethan’s looks, eye color, and temperament are strikingly similar to Victor’s childhood, while Victor, recognizing Selena at a reunion, begins to suspect that the twins are his own flesh and blood. With Victor’s help, Selena re-enters the Valentine Group Design Center and begins reclaiming the career she lost six years ago. But their relationship faces opposition from his family and pureblood society. Cassandra, born into an ancient pureblood family, is jealous of Victor’s special treatment of Selena. She constantly humiliates and attacks Selena for being 44, an ordinary human, and a single mother—even turning her hostility toward Ethan and Lia. Victor eventually confirms through the silver sketching pen and his six-year search that Selena is the woman he has been looking for and that the twins are his children. Cassandra, however, swaps the paternity test samples and joins forces with Selena’s greedy brother and sister-in-law and her former colleague Jake to stage a kidnapping and an “affair” scandal, hoping to tear Victor and Selena apart. Victor is not fooled. He orders a new paternity test, gathers complete evidence, exposes every plot, and confirms that Ethan and Lia are the heirs of the Valentine family. Cassandra and Selena’s brother and sister-in-law are punished, and Victor publicly refuses to let age, bloodline, or family decide his marriage. Selena no longer agonizes over whether she is worthy of Victor; instead, she proves herself and becomes chief restoration designer of a century-old hotel. In the end, Lady Elara accepts Selena, Victor once again offers the family ring, Selena reaches out her hand, and the family of four is finally reunited.
