Serena Astor, the heiress of the Astor family, is burned to death at her tenth wedding anniversary party by a dress designed by her adopted sister, Vanessa. Reborn the day before their anniversary, Serena uncovers her husband Julian's conspiracy with her adopted sister, forcing Julian to wear the dress and experience the pain of burns. She then catches Julian in the act live at her birthday party, leaving him penniless. Later, at a bidding process, Serena exposes Julian's plagiarism and reclaims the Astor Group. Ultimately, Serena falls in love with CEO Harrison Holt and adopts Lily, Julian and Vanessa's illegitimate daughter.
