Olivia, a high-flying business executive, has long dedicated herself to philanthropy by funding the education of outstanding but underprivileged university students. An unexpected encounter leads to an intimate, impulsive tryst with Lucius; following this, Lucius begins catering to all of Olivia’s needs, while she, in turn, provides the financial support that helps him navigate a difficult period in his life. Three months later, a conflict arises between them. Coincidentally, Lucius’s younger brother passes away, and Olivia is involved in a car accident—events that lead to a complete severance of contact. Six years pass, and Olivia’s company faces a critical turning point; it desperately needs cutting-edge technology to survive and revitalize its operations. Olivia reaches out to the industry’s premier technical team to propose a partnership, only to discover that the team is led by none other than Lucius. Their reunion—marked by a dramatic reversal in their respective social standings—leaves both of them grappling with complex emotions. Though they still harbor deep feelings for one another, personal burdens and unspoken secrets prevent them from being honest, setting off a series of misunderstandings and a tense, lingering tug-of-war between them.
