Five years ago, Javier was a machine operator for an American mining company in the Amazon. He watched his boss burn a snake's nest. The mother snake, Emerald, attacked the camp. Javier trapped her with an excavator but let her go. His boss cut off her tail anyway. Five years later, Javier returned on a new expedition. His girlfriend Lucy abandoned him to save another man. He was surrounded by giant spiders. Emerald saved him. The snake remembered him. They formed a bond. Together, they fought a prehistoric crocodile, army ants, and a giant anaconda. They exposed the company's illegal mining. They found evidence the boss had moved the nature reserve boundary. The survivors made it out. The boss and the traitors were arrested. Javier watched the jungle disappear behind the rescue truck. He knew the monsters were never the beasts. The monsters were the men who invaded their home.
