Codenamed the ""Crimson Reaper,"" elite agent Carter returns from three years of overseas missions. Dismissed for his plain looks by employer Chloe, he quickly proves his combat skills. Taking the job to protect his sister Lily, he punishes bullies, humiliates his ex's arrogant boyfriend, and is hired to defend Chloe's defense patent against the Obsidian Syndicate. Carter tames unruly mercenaries, uncovers a mole, wins an underground fight, and thwarts assassination plots. When the Syndicate rigs the office with C4, Carter and agent Dragonfly defuse the threat and storm headquarters, defeating a super soldier and arresting the leader. Promoted to Commander of Apex, Carter now faces a tougher battle — caught between his sweet neighbor Rachel and his boss Chloe, who's fallen for him.
