Evelyn Sterling, heiress and gifted jewelry designer, gave eight years to fiancé Adrian Whitmore—hiding her brilliance to keep the peace. On their engagement night, he abandoned her to celebrate Lydia Carter, the horse trainer’s daughter, even moving Lydia into their home. Adrian stole “Heart of Eternity,” the final masterpiece left by Evelyn’s late mother, and let Lydia enter it under her own name. He then forced Evelyn to confess plagiarism, destroying her reputation. Heartbroken, Evelyn breaks the engagement and accepts an arranged marriage to banking heir Sebastian Kingsley. Adrian soon learns his empire and life were held together by Evelyn. Lydia’s lies and theft unravel, and Adrian discovers Evelyn—not Lydia—saved his life eight years ago. Evelyn returns as Mrs. Kingsley, reclaims her designs and reputation, builds her own brand, and finally opens her heart to Sebastian, who has secretly loved her all along.
