What is Crown of Thorns about?

The Mary family was framed and destroyed. Consumed by deep-seated hatred, Mary infiltrated the palace, biding her time to take revenge on Kane, the son of her enemy. However, the man who appeared before her was not the true crown prince, but Marcus, a stand-in who looked exactly like Kane. Bearing old wounds, Marcus still retained the gentleness and inner conflict of his youth. While concealing his identity and living in the shadow of the throne, he found himself drawn to Mary's coldness and pain. The two circled each other through schemes, lies, and true love, only to gradually discover that the wrongful case against Mary's family was far more complicated than they had imagined. When Kane returns and court conspiracies tighten layer by layer, Mary must choose between revenge and love, and every step closer brings them nearer to the ruinous fate beneath the thorny crown.
