Billionaire heir Darcy places a diamond bracelet on Cecilia's wrist, reminding her that she is merely a pretty songbird who exists to please him after he paid for her college tuition. For five long years, Cecilia remained obediently by Darcy's side in his luxury penthouse, quietly enduring his cold neglect and hiding her own shattered heart. When Darcy announces his society engagement to a prominent socialite, Cecilia decides her debt is paid in full. Faking a fatal accident during an offshore ferry trip, Cecilia wipes away every trace of her existence and relocates abroad to pursue her lifelong dream as an architect. Darcy returns home to find an empty closet and her college reimbursement check on the counter. The realization of her disappearance shatters Darcy's arrogant composure, driving him into frantic madness as he spends billions searching every corner of the world. Will Darcy ever find his bird again?
