Leah Turner secretly married Cyril Stosur for seven years before holding their six-year-old daughter Anna for the first time that evening. While Anna was ecstatic, Cyril understood Leah's sudden affection stemmed solely from her reunited first love. Seven years earlier, Leah had married Cyril impulsively after her true love abandoned her. Throughout their marriage, she remained emotionally absent, avoiding family interactions and forbidding Anna from calling her Mom. The final blow came when Anna witnessed Leah showering attention on her ex-lover's daughter while persistently neglecting her. This stark contrast crushed Anna's remaining hope, driving the heartbroken child to leave permanently.
