Susan married Cyrus, believing her "tough luck" could balance his "bad luck." But the cold truth is his heart belonged to someone else. She kept her feelings hidden, focused on paying off her parents' debts, and made the most of the marriage. When Cyrus's dream girl came back, Susan decided to walk away. To win her back, Cyrus made her his assistant, guarded her fiercely at work, and fought for the marriage she wanted to forget. In the end, love wins out, and so does Susan.
