Seven years ago, Sophia Monroe donated her heart to save Lucian Morgan, choosing to live with an artificial heart that would only last seven years. To help him move on, she faked being a gold digger and severed all ties. Now a powerful CEO, engaged to actress Evelyn Rowe, Lucian crosses paths with Sophia again in a hospital—just as her life nears its end. Still hiding her condition, Sophia pretends to be a gold digger while desperately needing funds for a heart replacement. Her act only deepens Lucian’s misunderstanding, and Evelyn seems to know the truth. She manipulates the situation, sowing discord between them with forged documents, causing Lucian to lose trust in Sophia. In a final attempt to save her, Dr. Cooper reveals the truth—but by then, Sophia has already passed away.
