Jennifer, a celebrated Best Actress, was killed in a fire at an awards ceremony in her past life — a plot masterminded by her scumbag boyfriend Aidan and her backstabbing best friend Beatrice. Reborn on the very night she was supposed to elope with Aidan, she resolutely dumps the worthless man and boldly pursues Cassian, a paranoid and domineering CEO. She gives both the sanctimonious hypocrite and the scumbag a taste of their own medicine, dishing out ruthless retribution. Furthermore, during a life-or-death showdown aboard a luxury cruise ship, her shocking secret lineage — granddaughter of a powerful mafia kingpin — is unveiled. Ultimately, she and her beloved share a fully reciprocated, deeply devoted love, and their story culminates in a warm, perfect proposal.
