The night Alisha signs her divorce papers, her husband throws her into the rain with nothing but a duffel bag. A soaked flyer leads her to the mansion of Don Matteo DeMarco, New York's most feared mafia boss, and the man her ex spent years groveling to. In a hall of women fighting for his attention, Alisha alone notices his five-year-old daughter, who hasn't spoken a word in years. The girl chooses Alisha on the spot. But what Alisha walks away with isn't just a job. It's a contract: nanny by day, the Don's wife by night.
