Noelle is a genius fashion designer born in the Rust Belt slums—a girl with nothing but her hands and her eye. Her masterpiece, *Iris*, took three years to complete. Then her gambling-addicted foster parents sold it behind her back to Audrey, a pampered heiress, stealing both her work and her full scholarship to Paris. They kept bleeding her dry, treating her as a cash cow, year after year. To escape, Noelle builds a lie. She takes back her own name and reinvents herself as the daughter of a European fabric dynasty, setting her sights on Julian—the gentler, more pliable second son of the Thorne empire—believing marriage is the only exit from the mud she was born into. But someone sees through her first. Garrison, the family's true power holder, marks her immediately as a calculating climber. Yet when Julian drives her home and catches her out of disguise—hoodie on, riding the subway—he doesn't expose her. He becomes more intrigued. At the couture preview, security blocks her at the door until Garrison murmurs, "She's my guest." Her instinctive redesign of a gown on the spot, her quick wit against Audrey's endless humiliations, turn his contempt into fascination. Between them, something dangerous begins to grow. Garrison digs through competition archives and old ledgers and finds the truth: *Iris* was Noelle's. He learns how her family crushed her, how her work was stolen—and his guarded distance breaks into quiet devotion. When her foster parents come demanding money, tear up her sketches, and split her forehead open, Garrison carries her to his estate. Their feelings finally surface. At the engagement banquet, Audrey and Noelle's foster parents expose her false identity before all of California's elite—only for Garrison to step forward and reveal that Audrey herself stole the award-winning design. Noelle sheds the mask. Under her real name, she returns to design, wins the international gold prize with *Mire*, sues Audrey and her foster family, and reclaims every honor owed to her. Her debut couture show stuns the industry—and Garrison, publicly, claims her heart.
