Female Lead: Seraphina. In her previous life, when her father asked her to choose a husband, she selected Balasar—the favored son of the dragon clan chief and her childhood playmate. She helped him ascend to the position of dragon clan leader. But on the very day he became chief, her step-sister Adalinda rushed forward and stabbed her to death. Adalinda claimed Seraphina had stolen her rightful place, while no one knew that Balasar enjoyed torturing his own wife. In despair, Seraphina closed her eyes—and when she opened them again, she found herself back at the moment her father first asked her to choose a husband. This time, she would give Balasar up as her step-sister wished. Male Lead: Pendragon. The eldest son of the dragon clan chief, Pendragon was unloved yet the strongest among his brothers. Due to his father’s disfavor, he concealed his true power. He had secretly loved Seraphina for years, but after she married his younger brother, he chose to remain in the shadows, silently protecting her. In their previous life, when Adalinda murdered Seraphina, Pendragon avenged her by seizing the throne from his brother. Plot Summary: In her past life, when her father asked Seraphina whom she wanted to marry, she chose her lifelong friend Balasar. But she never expected him to be a demon in sheep's clothing—weak in strength, yet obsessed with tormenting women for pleasure in the dead of night. Seraphina endured in silence, unwilling to reveal the truth to her father or step-sister. Yet it was her jealous step-sister who, driven by envy over Seraphina’s rise as dragon matriarch, killed her. In her final moments, Seraphina saw the unloved Pendragon exacting revenge. In this new life, she resolves to marry Pendragon and help him claim the throne.
