Top agent Eden, seeking to repay a debt of gratitude, infiltrates the Manhattan crime family VanderLinde by posing as a governess to discipline their unruly heiress, Ivy. Facing Ivy's relentless provocations—gunshots, venomous snakes, and darts—Eden deftly overcomes each challenge while uncovering the deep trauma beneath her rebellious façade: the loss of her mother in childhood and the painful memory of her father breaking her fingers. From conflict to protection, from teacher to lover, the two become entangled in a forbidden relationship. But when Eden’s true identity is exposed and gang vendettas erupt, he vanishes without explanation—leaving Ivy behind for three years. When they meet again, Ivy has risen to become the matriarch of Manhattan’s underworld, while Eden returns as an undercover agent investigating the truth behind Elena’s death. Reunited, they join forces to uncover the truth, eliminate traitors, and ultimately stand side by side at the pinnacle of the criminal world, sealing their taboo love with a wedding that brings closure to a romance defying both identity and time.
