In a mining town in the American West during the 1880s, Lana ran a small eatery with her husband, Jesse—famous for his secret-recipe mutton stew—and their daughter, Annie. Sean, a powerful local mining tycoon, had a spoiled mistress named Mara who, upon hearing of Jesse’s culinary skills, summoned him to the estate to cook for her. Jesse inadvertently offended the temperamental Mara with a slip of the tongue and was brutally beaten by her henchmen. Sean, doting on Mara, shielded her from accountability and dumped the dying Jesse back in town; Jesse ultimately succumbed to his injuries. With the town's justice system controlled by capital, Lana found no avenue for redress or justice. Determined to avenge her husband, she spent her entire savings on high-risk plastic surgery to completely alter her appearance. Adopting the alias "Orchid," she set up a food wagon outside the estate with her daughter, using her husband’s signature stew as bait to capture Sean’s attention. She subsequently befriended Claire—Sean’s legitimate wife, who had long suffered neglect and abuse—and the two formed a secret alliance for revenge. Together, they thwarted Mara’s various schemes, including poisoning and assassination attempts, while covertly gathering evidence regarding the murder. Finally, Lana lured her enemies to an abandoned mine shaft and publicly exposed the full truth. After exacting her revenge, she turned down the tycoon's wealth, left the conflict behind with her daughter, and reopened a small shop to live a quiet, peaceful life.
