Five years ago, at a private cruise dinner in New Orleans, Julian, heir to a North American industrial shipping empire, was drugged by a rival and ended up sleeping with Chloe, a destitute college student on the brink of despair. Traumatized, Chloe lost all memory of that night due to post-traumatic stress disorder, and the baby girl she secretly gave birth to was quietly taken by greedy relatives to be raised on a farm in Texas.Five years later, Julian, determined to uncover the truth behind the yacht conspiracy and reject his family’s arranged marriage, hides his identity as the billionaire CEO controlling a vast logistics empire. He assumes the guise of an ordinary truck driver at a Boston dockyard. Meanwhile, Chloe faces the threat of her late father’s handmade leather workshop being maliciously acquired, and urgently needs a marriage to protect her inheritance. The two meet by chance at a civil registry office and quickly enter into a secret marriage, beginning a highly imbalanced covert life. After the wedding, Chloe joins a renowned local high-end custom tailoring atelier, where her extraordinary design talent is ruthlessly suppressed by Victoria, the art director who rose to power through plagiarism. At the same time, her greedy ex-boyfriend Brad shows up, demanding repayment of debts and making physical threats. In the shadows, Julian unleashes swift and decisive action—leveraging his nationwide freight and supply chain network to sever Brad’s car dealership group’s financial lifeline within half an hour, forcing him into bankruptcy. But a greater crisis looms. Unwilling to accept defeat, Victoria manipulates Julian’s mother Eleanor, a staunch traditionalist obsessed with old-money lineage, using forged medical reports to falsely accuse Chloe of “being infertile.” She then colludes with bribed media outlets to force the couple into divorce. Amid a staged accident and subsequent kidnapping ordeal, Julian not only rescues Lily, the abused young girl from the Texas farm, but also discovers, during a rare blood type test at the hospital, a long-buried truth: Lily, Chloe, and himself are biologically connected by blood—a revelation born of fate and hidden for five years.A fierce storm now erupts in Boston—one involving a battle over old-money inheritance, the exposure of corruption in the fashion world, and a multinational industrial tycoon’s public stand to defend his wife.
