Adrian, the Ashfords' real son, lost for years, comes home—only to be starved, framed, and beaten while the family adores their adopted “perfect son,” Damon. At Damon's birthday he's poisoned, blamed, and beaten to death—then wakes reborn, years earlier. This time he walks out for good. Using what only he knows of the future, he builds an empire that buries the family who cast him out. Sure he'd crawl back, they watch him rise—then uncover his abuse and Damon's lies, and beg him home. Too late.
