Zinnia married Chuck five years ago but was constantly humiliated by her husband and mother-in-law Holly for her ugly appearance. She then caught Chuck cheating with her cousin Imogen. To get rid of Zinnia and claim her $100 million insurance payout, Chuck, Holly, and Imogen personally pushed her off the cliffs of Kael Valley, and everyone believed she was dead. Miraculously surviving, her elder brother Zeke found her and helped her undergo plastic surgery to change her appearance, allowing her to return as the mysterious wealthy heiress Seraphina. Bent on revenge, she kept stirring up conflicts among Holly, Chuck, and Imogen. She then invested $1 billion into Chuck's NORA Group. Convinced he had found a powerful patron, Chuck sold off all his assets and went all in. Meanwhile, Tobia recognized Seraphina as the supposedly deceased Zinnia from little details of their childhood. Just as Chuck believed he was about to rise to great success, Seraphina withdrew her funding and exposed the fake accounts, sending Chuck into instant bankruptcy. When Chuck realized Seraphina was Zinnia, he attacked her with a knife but was subdued by Tobia and sent to prison. Seraphina and Tobia began a new life by the seaside.
