Seraphina, the Silver Dragon and guardian deity of the kingdom, entrusted the throne and the royal treasury to her husband, Aldric. In return, however, her daughter was left critically injured and on the brink of death by his illegitimate son, and the key to the treasury fell into the hands of his mistress.
