Having lived for twelve hundred years as a top‑tier archmage, Seraphina retired to the frozen wastes, but after three hundred years of neglecting the Vaughn family, they suffered generations of the Hale family coveting their bloodline, extracting their blood and slaughtering them; with only two bloodlines left, Evelyn died in bitter resentment, and her five‑year‑old Lia was imprisoned and tortured, so Seraphina heeds Evelyn’s dying plea, disguises herself as Evelyn, infiltrates the Hale family to rescue Lia, crushes bloodline hunters and dark sects along the way, settles accounts with her disciple Kane who betrayed her three hundred years ago, ultimately ends the Hale family’s millennium‑old sins, abandons her queenly power and glory, and retreats to a small town with the rescued Lia, spending the rest of their ordinary lives together in peace.
