For ten long years, Vittoria has lived as mafia boss Cassian’s hidden mistress. By daylight, she is his quiet, unassuming assistant; by night, she sacrifices her youth to him. Grateful that Cassian saved her from assault at eighteen, she gave him her whole heart — yet he only burns for Serephina, his perfect dream woman. Vittoria soon learns she is carrying his child and struggles with whether to tell him. Before she can speak, Cassian tasks her with arranging Serephina’s homecoming. Straight to her face, he states he will never acknowledge an out‑of‑wedlock baby, crushing her hope. At a glittering charity gala, Serephina puts on a warm act toward Vittoria — until kidnappers seize them both. Cassian races to an abandoned casino owned by a rival crew, where he receives a cruel choice: two women, only one may live. Overlooked, discarded, and shattered by the loss of her unborn baby, Vittoria walks away, numb. Cassian lets her go without hesitation. Three months later, fate throws them together at a maternity hospital. Serephina snatches Vittoria’s medical file in public and sneers that she is trying to trap the powerful mob family with a baby. To everyone’s shock, Vittoria claims the child belongs to another man. Dark conspiracies swirl everywhere. Now that Vittoria has finally let her love die, Cassian begins to drown in the love he once refused to see.
