In the high-end historical building restoration industry of a modern metropolis, the Crawford family, a top conglomerate, holds absolute power. The family operates on a matrilineal succession system, with the current matriarch, Lavinia, single-handedly maintaining the group's foundation. Their core project, the restoration of century-old buildings in the Sixth Street district, is recognized as a benchmark in the industry and a key bargaining chip in the family's power struggles. Architectural restorer Chloe has been in a relationship with Jason, a candidate for the Crawford family heir, for five years. She has been Jason's key design partner, handling the core drawings and technical patents for all his award-winning projects, yet always remaining behind the scenes. Jason's personal assistant, Mia, is jealous of Chloe's talent and status. On the eve of their engagement, she orchestrates a drugging scheme, framing Chloe for immoral conduct. Jason, swayed by the slander, abandons the drugged Chloe alone in a hotel suite, severing their relationship. Heartbroken, Chloe encounters Jason's uncle, Victor, the true head of the Crawford family, during her escape. Three years ago, Victor was involved in a rockfall accident on a mountain road, and it was Chloe who risked her life to save him from the rubble. To retaliate against Jason's disdain, reclaim her design masterpiece, and repay the debt of gratitude for saving his life, the two made a deal: Chloe would return to the Sixth Street project as Victor's fiancée, serving as the chief planner; Victor, in turn, would leverage Chloe's expertise to overcome the project's difficulties and escape his family's arranged marriage. Starting with a contractual relationship, the two supported each other through project clashes, family power struggles, and crises of framing: Chloe used her exceptional professional skills to resolve engineering crises time and time again, proving her innocence; Victor, on the other hand, always stood by Chloe, shielding her from family criticism and harassment. As the truth behind the Sixth Street accident was gradually revealed, Mia's malicious actions, Jason's selfishness and cowardice, and the power struggles within the family all surfaced. In the end, Chloe not only cleared her name and secured her position as the group's chief designer, but also went from being contractual partners with Victor to being truly in love, achieving a double success in both her career and love life.
