Fallen heiress Evelynn Windsor lost her fortune, her sight, and her future. Now she handcrafts scented candles just to survive. Meanwhile, billionaire Blaker Stirling has spent fifteen years searching for the girl who once sheltered him on the streets. His maid, Lia Miller, steals the identity and becomes his fake fiancée. When Evelynn accidentally crosses paths with Blaker, they sign a one-year contract marriage. Blaker believes Lia’s every lie, cuts Evelynn’s funds, and ends the contract early to announce his engagement to Lia. What he doesn’t know: Evelynn is pregnant. On the engagement night, she exposes Lia’s fraud before all of New York’s elite, then walks out of the ballroom and boards a plane to Europe with her doctor—and his child.
