A century ago, the first saint tore her soul into twelve covenants to end the famine. She saved the land — and vanished. Now she's back. As Elenor Dragon, a thorn‑crowned heretic. Barefoot. Blindfolded. Walking into the halls of the lords who stole her power. Her first target: House Hayes. Its lord swapped the royal heir with his own bastard — then strangled his daughter to keep the secret. Elenor made the dead girl stand up and point at her father. He killed himself. The first covenant returned. Her second: the Church itself. A cardinal who drained his wife's life to fuel his healing miracles. His son Arthur — the Church's fiercest knight — was ordered to watch Elenor. But he discovered the "ugly old nun" he'd ignored for ten years was his own mother. He cut ties with his father. Swore himself to Elenor. Became her sword. Her third: the frozen north. A dying lord, his body turning to stone, his war contract summoning an army of the dead. Elenor went into his mind to free him. Arthur held the gate alone — took twelve arrows and five fatal wounds. Heart shattered. Died in a pool of his own blood. Elenor gave him her own heart's blood. The war covenant. He rose again — not as a man, but as something bound to her. Forever. They are heading south now. To the Black Moon Diocese. To the man who dared send assassins after her. She has three covenants back. Nine to go. And an undying knight who will never leave her side — whether she wants him there or not.
