"Set in a modern metropolis, Nathan, the CEO of FU Group, grew up side by side with Lola since childhood. When Nathan’s family suffered a catastrophic crisis, Lola sold all her shares to help him rebuild his empire. Burdened with lifelong guilt, Nathan swore he would repay her for the rest of his life. Lola’s young son Pumpkin suffers from a critical illness and urgently needs matching umbilical cord blood to survive — yet the boy is not Nathan’s biological child. To obtain the life-saving cord blood, Nathan targets Lynn, a woman trapped in crushing family debts with nowhere to turn. He pretends to be tender and caring, bailing her out of every financial hardship, then marries her and manipulates her into getting pregnant. Lynn drowns in Nathan’s fake warmth, unaware she is merely a tool to save another woman’s child. A tragic whirlwind of conspiracy, cord blood, love and hatred unfolds."
