Trusting the words of her first love Zheng Bolin, she mistakenly believed her husband Lu Sheng only married her for her fortune and used their daughter to extort money from her. Because of this misunderstanding, she refused to save their daughter when she was in danger. What she never knew was that Lu Sheng had long hidden his true identity and quietly backed her career behind the scenes. As for Zheng Bolin, he only approached Lin Wu to take advantage of her: he planned to steal Lu Sheng’s research plans and swindle all her family wealth. When the whole truth finally came to light, Lin Wu was consumed with overwhelming regret. However, neither Lu Sheng nor their daughter could bring themselves to forgive her. Lu Sheng chose his junior sister, who had secretly loved him for years.
