Marcus, a combat medic, returns to his hometown of Springdale after eight years of overseas service and meets Danielle, who has come to the town to launch a revitalization project. Moving past initial misunderstandings, the two join forces; leveraging his diverse skills, Marcus leads the townspeople in fishing, foraging, and selling wild medicinal herbs, gradually lifting Springdale out of poverty and into prosperity.
