Evelyn Grant, heiress of New York’s Grant Group, calls off her wedding after catching her fiancé Damian cheating with her stepsister Chloe. Fleeing with evidence of her father’s poisoning, she is hunted down. Damian rams her car off a sea‑bridge; her vehicle explodes on impact. The world believes she is dead, yet she is rescued by a mafia yacht. Five years later, she returns to Manhattan as cold‑blooded billionaire Elena Moretti, holding 30 % of Grant Group’s shares. Only Adrian Cross, powerful head of Cross Empire, recognizes her. He offers a one‑year marriage contract to help her destroy Damian — he has been searching for her for five years. Elena exacts revenge: cutting off Damian’s funds, ruining Chloe’s social status, and exposing her stepmother’s forged will. As their fake marriage turns real, they uncover the truth: Wall‑Street power‑player Marcus Vane ordered both Adrian’s family massacre seventeen years ago and Evelyn’s father’s murder, and now aims to swallow the Moretti mafia family. After the old don is wounded in an assassination, Elena becomes the new mafia Donna. Abandoned by Marcus, Damian begs for reconciliation and is coldly rejected. In the final showdown, Adrian is shot and falls from a building, presumed dead. Veiled in black, Elena dismantles Marcus’s empire. At the hearing, Adrian reappears alive. Together they get Marcus sentenced to life imprisonment. In a church, as Adrian kneels to propose, Elena takes off her sunglasses: “This time, I’m the one proposing.”
