"The Husband She Hired" Shelley cut her business trip short and rushed home to her fiancé Leo—only to walk in on him in bed with her best friend Mia. Double betrayal. Heart shattered. She sped off, nearly running over a man on the road. His name was Ian—a runaway from an arranged marriage his family had forced on him. Facing her mother's endless pressure to get married, Shelley made a wild offer: she would "keep" him. A contract marriage. He said yes. He hid his identity—heir to the Sterling Group—and played the part of an ordinary working man. Leo and Mia kept circling back, stirring trouble, trying to humiliate her. Ian handled them all, calmly and cleanly, as if swatting flies. Living under the same roof, two people wounded by fate found themselves falling for each other. Until Shelley flipped open a business magazine—and saw Ian's face on the cover. The "ordinary guy" she had hired was the sole heir to the entire Sterling empire. ——She said she would keep him. He said yes and hid who he was. She later found out she had accidentally "kept" the richest man in the city.
