On Manhattan's Upper East Side, Aurora—the true heiress of the Winters family—was betrothed to Julian Ashford, heir to the Ashford empire. He promised her a romantic proposal on the garden lawn. The day came. Aurora stood beneath the flower arch, heart full of hope—but Julian walked right past her. In front of everyone, he knelt before her adopted sister, Seraphina. Seraphina accepted with a triumphant smile. Together, they humiliated Aurora and shoved her mother aside—who fell and was gravely injured. Seraphina sneered: your family, your status, your fiancé—all mine now. Aurora dried her tears and said only this: "Since you want to be the lady of the Ashford house—I'll become your mother-in-law." She "accidentally" crossed paths with Julian's father, Dominic—a motorcycle, a business card, a calculated game of hard-to-get. Step by step, she closed in. Dominic knew she had an agenda—yet he couldn't help falling for her. They secretly got engaged. On the wedding day, Seraphina and Julian stood at the altar in their finest, waiting for blessings. But at the other end of the red carpet, Dominic walked in—with Aurora on his arm. She wasn't a guest. She was their new stepmother. —You wanted to steal my man? Fine. From now on, you call me "Mom."
