Ethan and Mia ended their five-year contractual marriage peacefully, with Mia leaving without any compensation. After returning home, she was badly mistreated by her family and forced to marry the vicious Brody. She fled in despair, suffered a car accident and fell into a three-month coma. Upon recovery, she was disowned and defrauded of all her money, forced to work at a winery to survive. Ethan, who had long loved Mia, chanced upon her miserable situation. He began to fiercely protect her, punished all wrongdoers, helped her regain her family property and gifted her the winery. Mia mistook Ethan’s aunt for his fiancée and kept her distance, yet accidentally got pregnant. The two exposed Brody’s crimes and brought him to justice. When Ethan planned a proposal after learning about the pregnancy, he was shot and severely injured by Mia’s vengeful stepsister. Feeling guilty, Mia left for Hawaii. After all misunderstandings were cleared up, Ethan traveled far to find her. They confessed their true feelings and let go of all estrangements. Yet the lingering pains and hidden crises still loom over them. No one knows whether their hard-won love can break through all obstacles and last forever.
