Vivian Rossetti is the first female godmother in the history of the Rossetti family; cold-blooded and decisive, she places the family's interests above all else. When Vincent—heir to the O'Brien family and her intended in a strategic marriage—breaks off the engagement for his mistress, Gloria, Vivian unhesitatingly rescinds the wedding invitations and cuts off all financial and armed protection. This is no emotional outburst, but the beginning of a ruthless reckoning. With the alliance dissolved, the O'Brien family rapidly plunges into a desperate plight: underground lenders cut off credit, rival families move in to exploit their weakness, and internal lieutenants stage a coup. Vincent, shifting from arrogance to despair, finally realizes that Gloria is nothing more than a con artist plotting to seize the family fortune. Vivian executes a calculated strategy, forcing the O'Briens to surrender all their territories and assets, effectively reducing them to Rossetti vassals. Ultimately, as Vincent kneels in remorse, Vivian ascends as the undisputed Queen of the Harbor City underworld, embodying her guiding creed: Family is everything.
