On the very night she set a new auction record and dreamed of marrying her boyfriend, Daniel, top auctioneer Erin was publicly humiliated by Daniel and his assistant, Lucia, over a dispute regarding auction protocol; a series of events ensued, culminating in Erin’s dismissal by Daniel. Forced to leave the venue in just her slip, Erin joined a new firm, Blackwood, making a fresh start as a partner. At the National Auctioneers Summit, Daniel entered Lucia into the competition, repeatedly provoking Erin and raising the stakes of their wager; ultimately, Lucia suffered a humiliating defeat while Erin achieved a perfect score, winning the crowd over. A mix-up regarding priority rights occurred because the summit organizers were unaware of Erin’s firing; Daniel and Lucia mocked her, but Erin fought back fiercely, and the summit ultimately awarded the commission to Blackwood. Daniel faced a reckoning from his firm's leadership once the truth came to light, and Lucia departed after her academic credentials were exposed as fraudulent. Daniel’s attempts to salvage the situation failed, and he was eventually imprisoned. Erin and Liam—who had steadfastly supported her—hosted a highly successful country-style auction in her hometown of Napa Valley; the two declared their love and embarked on a brilliant new chapter together.
